Bride’s Guests Leave Because of Lack of Entertainment

September 25, 2008

It saddens my heart to write the story I am about to tell you. It is about the importance of entertainment at your wedding.

A couple of weekends ago, I had a lovely bride and groom whose only wish was to have their families help them celebrate their new life together. Now I know that the planning was probably not easy for them, they had to deal with broken families, dislike/distain, but through it all they made it work. However, they made one critical error. Instead of having a DJ or Band they decided to have a friend bring in some large speakers with an IPod.

They greeted their guests, cut their cake, ate their wonderful dinner and even had a few pertinent dances. However, 9pm rolled around and like Cinderella at the stroke of midnight all of the bride and grooms guests were gone; leaving the mother of the bride, the groom and the crying bride alone in their reception hall.

In hearing this, my heart broke for the poor bride on her wedding day.

Don’t let something like this happen to you. If you are working within a budget be sure to make a little more room for your entertainment.
